Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

Terms of use

By downloading or using the Reign of Nether launcher, or by playing on the official network, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use them.

  • The launcher and the network are free, and are provided as is, with no guarantee that they will work, stay available or be free of faults.
  • The launcher installs Java, Minecraft, Forge and the mods the network needs on your computer, and keeps them up to date. You use it at your own risk.
  • As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage from using the launcher, the mod, the website or the network. Nothing here removes rights the law in your country says can't be removed.
  • Cheating, abuse, or attacking the network or its players can get you banned.
  • You need your own legitimate copy of Minecraft, and must follow Mojang's and Microsoft's terms.
  • Not an official Minecraft service. Not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.

Your data

We never sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Signing in happens directly with Microsoft. We never see your Microsoft password, and your Minecraft access token stays on your computer.

We store:

  • your Minecraft name and UUID;
  • your match history, rank and points;
  • any bans or other punishments;
  • when you were last seen, and your login sessions, which end after 30 days or when you sign out;
  • your IP address, briefly, to limit abuse and in ordinary server logs.

We take reasonable steps to protect this data, but no online service can promise perfect security.

Who else is involved

  • LBC Hosting hosts the website, the data and the game servers in France.
  • Microsoft and Mojang handle your sign-in and game downloads.
  • Discord receives match results, including player names, for our Discord server. If you have Discord open, the launcher can also show your status there; you can turn that off in Settings.
  • mc-heads.net supplies player heads in the launcher, so it receives the names being displayed.
  • Other players in a game hosted by a player connect to you directly, so they can see your IP address.

Your choices

You can hide yourself from the ladder in the launcher. To see or delete your data, or for any question, email contact@reignofnether.net.
