Minecraft as an RTS

Three factions, four game modes, single player or multiplayer. Everything you see is built from vanilla Minecraft blocks, mobs and models.

Three factions

Choose your side

Each faction has its own mechanics and style. Pick the one that fits how you like to fight.

Villagers

The desperate alliance of villagers and illagers protecting their home. Ingenuity and illager militarism make a formidable army of warriors and spellcasters, backed by farmers, builders and craftsmen.

Monsters

The wild creatures of the overworld, brought together by mysterious forces. Raise the dead from graveyards, hatch spiders from nests. They shun sunlight — but once night falls, they should be feared.

Piglins

Denizens of the nether who came through the portals to expand their empire. Piglins build only on nether terrain, so wherever they expand, grass becomes nylium and stone becomes netherrack.

Four game modes

How you play

Every mode runs on the same RTS camera and controls. Pick one to see how it works.

Classic

The classic RTS experience in FFA or teams. Destroy all of your opponents’ buildings to win. On a map with a capturable beacon it becomes King of the Beacon instead: take the beacon, upgrade it and defend it.

Setup
FFA or teams
Win condition
Destroy every enemy building

Wave Survival

Survive increasingly difficult nights, solo or with allies, at the difficulty you pick before the match starts.

Setup
Solo or co-op
Win condition
Fully upgrade and defend a beacon

Sandbox

Build a custom map by freely placing units and buildings, including neutral ones. Enables cheats.

Setup
Solo, no rules
Win condition
None — build freely

Scenario

A map built in Sandbox and published with its own roles, starting positions and win conditions. Pick a role and play the match its maker designed.

Setup
Solo or co-op

The official server is where the mod gets played. Start a private lobby for you and your friends, or join a game that is already filling up. Nothing to set up, nothing to host yourself.

Public and private lobbies

Make a private lobby, invite your friends and pick the map, or drop into a public one that is already filling up.

Matchmaking

Or queue up and let the server put you in a game with whoever else is looking.

Spectating

Watch a match you are not playing in, from any angle the RTS camera can reach.

Every official map

The whole map pack is already loaded, so nobody has to download anything first.

Ranked ladder

Ranked queues, per-faction ratings and match history are still being built. Casual games on the network come first.
